Quickbooks Pro 2006 Upgrade

Quicken for Mac products older than 2007 are not supported for conversion; however, if you have a data file from an older version of Quicken for Mac, you can attempt to update to the latest Mac version. Sadly Quickbooks 2006 is only a minor upgrade from Quickbooks 2003. Users should also be aware that they will be forced to upgrade this software. At considerable expense, every 3 years. Also payroll services are not included and cost $150.00 more PER year. See 'QuickBooks. Quickbooks Pro 2006, free quickbooks pro 2006 software downloads, Page 3.

Quickbooks Pro 2006 Upgrade Software

I want to take the laptop while I'm out of town for a few days and
attempt to revamp my QB file. I installed QB Pro 2006 on the laptop
which is the same version I have on my main system. I updated the
laptop and then copied my data file onto the laptop.
When I opened my data file QB said that the data file was created with
a newer version than what was installed. The version on the laptop
was R3 while my system is R12.
I tried checking for updates again and it came back saying there was
nothing to update. I tried resetting the updates and downloaded them
again and got the same results. Is there any way to manually update
QB Pro?
Thanks.
